The Challenge
Develop and install a video system to display safety notices and commercials on a waterbus.
The Solution
Taking into consideration the operational conditions and the spatial constraints, GX developed a non-mechanical solution to display the media on a 26” LCD TV through a computer based system. With no moving parts, reliability can be ensured against mechanical jarring to provide un-interrupted playback as the vessel travels over water at up to 30knots.
The Result
Safety notices initiated by the waterbus captain are shown when leaving each stop after new passengers embark. A series of adverts follow at maximum exposure to passengers, generating added revenue for the waterbus operators.
