Morecare Patient Hoist
The Challenge
Create a modular system for the Morecare hoist range that would allow the same basic elements to be used throughout a range of products.
The Solution
GX designed a hoist system using aluminium extrusions, cut to different lengths to cope with the range of hoist sizes, supported by a common set of aluminium castings and mouldings.
The entire assembly comes together without the need for welding. Complex FEA analysis was undertaken during the development to ensure structural integrity before entering manufacture.
The Result
The absence of welding and the use of common parts vastly reduced production and assembly costs. Morecare can now offer more competitive and bespoke units than any of their competitors.
