Over Friday 16th and Saturday 17th June, our design engineer Ruairidh Keeley attended the EAPC World Congress in Rotterdam. Ruairidh was invited to present a poster of his work developing a portable infusion device for palliative care. The device utilises peristaltic flow technology to create a direct replacement for syringe drivers in hospital, hospices and in the community.
This was the first EAPC's in-person congress in 4 years. The congress assembled the global palliative care community including trade information, research, and insights. There were a number of presentations and workshops throughout the two days that covered the need for subcutaneous medication for breakthrough symptoms and miscommunication within palliative care.
For Ruairidh to be invited to present and to achieve the Top 5 Poster is testament to his design skill and dedication to succeed, GX are very proud of Ruairidh and are pleased to have him as an integral part of our design team.
